Diabetes and Complex Carbohydrates

For several years patients with diabetes are encouraged to avoid sweets, cakes and other sugary foods because it is assumed to be faster elevate blood sugar levels. However, research shows that it is not true. All carbohydrates, including sugar kitchen, affect blood glucose with almost the same way.

The most important thing on the carbohydrate is not dependent on the type that is eaten, but rather on the portion taken. If you eat more carbohydrates than usual, you may not have enough insulin to carry the excess supply of sugar into the cells, which could result in increased blood sugar levels.
